Our Story
Embark on a journey with M&M Stone Design, which began in September 2005 when our founder, Clerismar Matos, joined ASA, one of the largest granite and marble countertop companies in Georgia and Alabama. His passion for the beauty of stones and dedication to customer satisfaction quickly propelled him to become one of the company's top professionals. An unexpected turn of events in 2008 led him to sales, deepening his love for the business.
In 2010, M&M Installation was born, serving thousands of homes in Georgia and beyond. Taking a leap of faith in 2019, we expanded to become M&M Stone Design, choosing downtown Lawrenceville, Georgia, as our base. Despite the global challenges since then, we continue to serve our community with unwavering commitment and success. Join us as we continue to transform homes with our custom stone designs.
Our Founders
Clerismar Matos
Hailing from Brazil, Clerismar moved to America after the tragic loss of his father at a young age, joining his mother who was the family's sole provider. In America, he quickly realized that hard work could pave the way to success. A devoted Christian, husband to Loiny, and a father, Clerismar's primary focus has always been his family. In fact, M&M was founded to cater to his family's needs.
Clerismar's journey in the stone industry began in September 2005 when he joined ASA, one of the leading granite/marble countertop companies in Georgia and Alabama, as a granite countertop installer's assistant. He quickly developed a passion for the stones and the customers. By 2006, he had mastered templating, and by 2007, he was recognized as one of the company's top professionals. An accident in 2008 shifted him to an office role, where he discovered a love for sales and deepened his commitment to the business.
Loiny Matos
Loiny, also originally from a quaint town in Brazil, first came to the U.S. as a visitor. She decided to extend her stay for studies and soon found herself working as a sales agent at a friend's countertop store. It was here that she developed a love for the industry and built strong relationships with homeowners and contractors.
It wasn't long before she met Clerismar, and together, they envisioned and established their own business. Today, Loiny is not just a dedicated business owner focused on delivering quality products and fostering relationships, but she's also a hardworking mother of two. For her, moments spent with their blended family are the most cherished. While Clerismar is an avid soccer enthusiast, having played professionally in his younger days, Loiny finds solace in nature and considers running her favorite hobby.
